1. Over 58,009 Persons internally displaced (IDP) tallying to 167 IDP camps Countrywide from the Flood effects, a majority being in Nairobi County.
2. There is continued Rainfal and thunderstorms in 37 Counties mostly the Tana Delta, Lake Basin, Lamu, Central Kenya, Eastern & Garissa.
3. Parents adviced to take care of their Kids where abouts in the wee hours of 6am and 6pm during to & from school amid continued rainfall, River overflows and Landslides in some regions.
4. Schools opened in several counties.But 44 Primary schools and 27 Secondary schools have not Yet Reopened.Nyeri county Worst hit, Murang'a & as well 5-Schools in Kisumu have been fully Submerged.
5. The following Elgeyo Marakwet Areas have been identified as Critical Mudslide ; Turesia, Kapsegut, Siroch, Kolol, Wewo, Maina, Arror, Lelan, Kamoi, Keiyo North and Keiyo South.As such, caution to be given priority.
6. The Floods so far has led to an Economic loss ranging from over 59 Million Value of destroyed crops in Nakuru County and over 774 Acres of land in Murang'a county posing a threat to our National Food Security.
7. The Government appreciates International Support from India Uk and UAE and as such, Required food and non-food support will continue reach all deserving Kenyans suffering from the Climatic Outcomes.
8. Kenyans Adviced to continue repirting for emergencies using the Toll-Free Emergency phone number shared earlier via: 0800 721 571.
