The Ghana Trade House, a one-stop shop for Ghanaian products and services, has officially been launched in Nairobi, Kenya. The Trade House will serve as a logistics and distribution hub for Ghanaian exports to East Africa, and will also help Kenyan businesses to source products from Ghana.
The launch of the Ghana Trade House is a significant milestone in the implementation of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), which aims to create a single market for goods and services across Africa. The Trade House will make it easier for Ghanaian businesses to access the East African market, and will also help to boost trade between Ghana and Kenya.
Speaking at the launch ceremony, the High Commissioner of Ghana to Kenya, H.E. Damptey Bediako Asare, said that the Ghana Trade House is a testament to the strong economic ties between Ghana and Kenya. He also called on other African countries to establish similar trade houses in order to accelerate the implementation of the AfCFTA.
The Ghana Trade House offers a wide range of products and services, including essential oils, hydrosols, raw shea butter, black soaps, cocoa butter, coconut oils, infused herbal tea, wellness herbal mixtures, sesame oil and seeds, hair conditioners, hair foods, shea oils, raw shea butter, natural deodorants, turmeric soaps, shea butter body lotions, peanut butter, cashew nuts, bread spreads, natural cocoa, cosmetics, textiles, food spices, and chocolate bars.
The Ghana Trade House is located at Sameer Business Park, Block E on Mombasa Road in Nairobi.
