Kenya Kwanza Marks Exactly 2 Years since its Inception-The BETA Economic Plan Elaboarted by the Government Spokesperson,Dr. Hon .Isaac Mwaura

In his weekly Briefing of matters of National Importance, Dr. Isaac Mwaura gave a report on various Milestones achieved by the Kenya Kwanza Government under the leadership of H.E Dr. William Samoei Arap Ruto.
He called for Kenyans to be patient and hopeful of better economic Transformations which are ongoing.

The Kenya Kwanza Government has made significant strides in delivering on its promises, transforming various sectors of the economy. From boosting agriculture and empowering MSMEs to improving healthcare and infrastructure, the government's efforts have had a positive impact on the lives of Kenyans.
Key Achievements:
Agricultural Revolution:
-Increased maize production by 38.9% to 85.7 million bags thanks to the Fertilizer Subsidy Program.
-Reduced fertilizer costs by 58%, from Ksh. 6,000 to Ksh. 2,500 per bag.
-Decreased the cost of maize flour by 23.3% (Ksh. 169.9 to Ksh. 130.38 for 2kg).
-Expanded sunflower farming by 8.3% through seed distribution.
-Increased dairy production by 13% due to reforms in milk pricing.
-Boosted c otton cultivation by 332% , creating more jobs and higher incomes for farmers.
Empowering MSMEs:
-Refurbished 21 County Industrial Development Centers (CIDs-CAIPS) to enhance value chains in leather, textile, and dairy industries.
-Provided ongoing support for MSMEs through access to finance, infrastructure, and training programs.
Improved Healthcare:
-Expanded access to quality healthcare services through the construction of new health facilities and the recruitment of additional health workers.
-Introduced innovative digital health solutions to improve efficiency and patient care.
Digital Superhighway:
-Accelerated the rollout of 5G technology, expanding internet connectivity across the country.
-Increased the number of Wi-Fi hotspots to [ 1,490 ] and fiber optic cable installation to [ 18,767 kilometers ] Nationalwide.
Job Creation:
-Created numerous jobs through initiatives like the Juakli Jobs program and MSME support .
-Increased employment in the digital sector by [598%], with [ 516,505] youth benefiting from digital literacy training under the JITUME Program .
Affordable Housing:
-Implemented policies to make Homeownership more accessible, including Governments' Recognition and Cerifying of 213 Juakali Artisans.
-Increased the number of affordable housing units constructed to 112,405 Units. and created over 160,00 Direct and Indirect Jobs
As we look ahead, the government's commitment to the Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA) remains steadfast:
-The BETA Plan will continue to focus on building a more inclusive and prosperous Kenya for all.
