In a momentous celebration marking World Memon Day, the World Memon Business Forum (WMBF) officially launched its Kenya Chapter during an impactful dinner event held at Mix Grill & Doner Express in Parklands, Nairobi.
The evening was hosted in collaboration with the International Memon Organization – East Africa (IMO-EA) and brought together an exceptional gathering of business icons, visionary leaders, and representatives from across the Memon community and beyond

Keynote Messages
Mr. Iqbal Advani, Chairman of WMBF and Chief Guest, delivered a stirring keynote, emphasizing economic unity, business mentorship, and the need to remain grounded in cultural and ethical values while building global enterprise networks.
Mr. Abdullah Gadawala, Founder of the International Memon Organization, reflected on the rich journey and global impact of IMO, highlighting decades of Memon unity, progress, and service.
Mr. Shemir Yakub, Deputy President of IMO International, spotlighted the Nairobi Memon Academy — a milestone project designed to deliver quality education to future generations. He appealed to the community to support the initiative as a lasting sadaqah jariyah.
Mr. Shahid Yakub, Vice President of IMO – East Africa and Convener of the event, unveiled Vision 100 — a bold, long-term roadmap prioritizing education, healthcare, entrepreneurship, environmental stewardship, mental wellbeing, and cultural preservation.
“Vision 100 is not just a dream,” he said. “It’s a blueprint for generations to come. It is how we ensure that our values, our people, and our legacy continue to thrive long after we are gone.”
