Ahead of the UN Climate Change Conference (COP30), the UN Environment Programme (UNEP) officially launched its annual Adaptation Gap Report during an online press conference at 8:00am EST / 1:00pm CET / 3:00pm EAT on 29 October 2025.
UNEP's Adaptation Gap Report series provides a science-based assessment of the global progress on adaptation planning, financing, and implementation. It also explores options for enhancing and advancing national and global adaptation efforts and provides analysis of selected issues of interest. The AGR 2025 reflects on opportunities to bridge the finance gap and accelerate climate action, with both public and private finance having to step up.
