DCI Officer Accused of Grabbing a Peasant's Property:Land Dispute in Ruai

Unveiling the Ruai Land Saga: Allegations, Evidence, and Public Interest!

A land dispute in Ruai, Nairobi, has taken a concerning turn with the Njihia family accusing a DCI officer of fraudulently acquiring ownership of their property. The Njihia family claims to have legally purchased the land in 2008, presenting official documentation including a certificate of ownership and proof of KRA stamp duty payment.

However, they allege that DCI Winfred Ntinyari Kirai obtained a duplicate title deed with a different plot number. This raises serious questions about the integrity of the land registry system and potential abuse of power within the DCI.

Power Imbalance? ...Unequal Fight! ...Can a Peasant Family Reclaim Land from a DCI?

The Njihia family has faced threats and intimidation, further highlighting the seriousness of the situation. They have filed a legal suit against DCI Kirai and are seeking intervention from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC).

Njihia's Stand:

  • Claim legal purchase of the land in 2008, presenting relevant documentation (ownership certificate, KRA stamp duty proof).

  • Allege DCI Ntinyari acquired a duplicate title deed with a different plot number, raising integrity questions.
  • Share experiences of facing threats and intimidation from officers and the accused DCI.
  • Seek legal action and EACC intervention, highlighting potential abuse of office and corruption

Njihia's Prayers:

  1. That the EACC take action against Winfred Ntinyari Kirai and the land registrar for abuse of office and corruption.

  2. That the EACC ensure that legal action is taken against Ntinyari Kirai for contempt of court for violating the court order halting construction on the land.

"If she does not comply, she should be held in contempt of court."

  3. Integrity of the land registry system: The processing of a duplicate title deed in this case is a serious breach of duty and raises concerns about the integrity of the land registry system.
